Oceanside is a city in northern San Diego County, California. Incorporated in 1888 together with Vista and Carlsbad, it makes
up the Tri-City area. The city is just south of Camp Pendleton, the largest U.S. Marine Corps base in the world. The city was
first encountered by European explorers in 1769 and was incorporated in 1888.
